Naiara was born in Brazil and raised in Somerville, MA. She attended Somerville High School, where she played soccer and tennis. She then attended Tufts University on a Doris York Scholarship. Naiara was the first recipient of this scholarship, which provided full tuition to girls from Somerville who attended Somerville High School for four years, graduated in the top 20% of their class, and demonstrated financial need. Naiara was the first generation to attend college in her family. While at Tufts, Naiara majored in International Relations with a focus on global conflict and cooperation in South Asia and the Middle East.
She took classes in many subjects, ranging from sociology, anthropology, and political science, to biological anthropology, astronomy, and French. Naiara played intramural soccer with friends, she was part of the multicultural organization of students at Tufts, and she was a peer mentor at the Latino Center. She also studied abroad in Paris during her junior year. After graduating, Naiara worked as a college adviser at Somerville High School, where she worked with hundreds of students on their post-high school education plans. Naiara worked with students to figure out what they wanted to do post-high school, helped them create lists of potential schools, and helped them craft personal statements and school-specific essays.
Naiara's goal was to provide overall support and guidance to high school juniors and seniors by listening to their specific needs and wants and helping them craft a plan that made sense for them. She also planned a college campus visit and tour for every first-year student to introduce them to the concept of college. Naiara then became an admissions counselor at Tufts University, where she worked for two years. While at Tufts, Naiara worked with and read applications from students all over the country and the world (specifically South America, which she also traveled to for work). Other than reading and evaluating thousands of applications, Naiara was part of diversity recruitment which included hosting a wide range of students on campus.
She also assisted in creating a bridge program for first-generation students. Using the advocacy skills she learned as an admissions counselor, Naiara applied to law school and attended Suffolk University Law School. She was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2016 and currently works as an attorney for the state of Massachusetts.
Students that Naiara has recently coached have gotten accepted at several top-tier schools, including Harvard University, Georgetown University, and Emory University.
In her free time, Naiara loves watching soccer (and playing when possible), traveling, and spending time with her nieces.

In addition to these admissions roles, he has contributed his expertise as an SAT/ACT instructor and tutor. Over the course of almost a decade, he has mentored and guided numerous students on their journey to academic success.
With nearly a decade of experience as an editor, Nicholas has overseen undergraduate, master's, and doctoral theses, guiding numerous students to achieve their academic goals. Having navigated the entire college trajectory himself, he brings a unique perspective. He has also served on admissions committees for master's, doctoral, and medical programs and faculty hiring committees, lending him a keen eye for evaluating application materials.
As a dedicated higher education scholar, Nicholas is deeply passionate about the college experience. He knows that a quality education can change a person's life, and he loves being a part of that experience, whether as an instructor, advisor, or mentor. Nicholas always finds it fun to get in on the ground floor of shaping a student's educational trajectory! As a lifelong learner, he eagerly anticipates each encounter with prospective students, ready to learn about their interests and aspirations.
Throughout his career, Nicholas has garnered invaluable insights into the admissions world. His greatest learning revolves around the importance of "fit" in the application process. He firmly believes that identifying why students aspire to attend a particular institution and how it aligns with their values is pivotal in securing admission.
His exceptional track record extends to helping students secure acceptances at esteemed institutions, including UCLA, USC, UC Berkeley, Stanford, Harvard, Yale, NYU, Brown, and Columbia, among others.
Outside of his professional pursuits, he is a literary critic and a talented author of murder mysteries. He maintains a daily gym routine and enjoys spending time with his loyal canine companion.
Dr. Nick was a former admissions officer at Vanderbilt University and an application reader for the University of Pennsylvania. In his roles at Vanderbilt and Penn, Dr. Nick evaluated more than 7000 applications and set the admissions committee strategy for the school across majors and applicant demographics. Dr. Nick also organized the Vandy Alumni Interview Program, where he managed a team of 50+ interviewers across the U.S. to drive a rigorous selection process for the school.
Dr. Nick is a graduate of an independent school and has devoted his career to helping students navigate the admissions process. He has a B.A. in History and Anthropology and an M.Ed in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt, a College Counseling specialization from UCLA, and an Ed.D from the University of Houston. Dr. Nick has also worked as a Director of College Counseling in several school communities, co-wrote a book on college admissions, and taught adult learners at Rice University. Additionally, he has given many presentations at high schools and national conferences on the details of the admissions process.
At Quad Education, he takes his passion for higher education to support students from various backgrounds and interests. He has helped many students get into some of the most competitive programs in the nation, obtain prestigious scholarships, and choose the school that is the best fit for them. Through his humorous nature, Dr. Nick prides himself in building a solid rapport with students and helping them bring out the best version of themselves. He likes to work closely with candidates to focus on creating a competitive candidacy for the top schools while helping foster important relationships through the right confidence-building initiatives.
Nicole has extensive admissions experience, having served as an Application Reader/Reviewer at UC San Diego, performing a first read of over 1000 applications. In this role, she reviewed transcripts, extracurricular activities, volunteer and work experiences, essays, and standardized test scores, summarized applicants’ strengths and weaknesses, and recommended applicants using established guidelines. Moreover, Nicole has five years of experience as a counselor, helping students navigate the public and private school admission process. Students she has coached have been accepted to the University of Pennsylvania, the United States Military Academy (West Point), the United States Naval Academy, the University of California, Berkeley, and UCLA, among others.
Nicole’s passion for coaching is deeply rooted in her genuine empathy for this demographic. She finds immense joy in guiding students through what is likely the very first significant decision in their lives that they are empowered to make.
As a coach, Nicole’s greatest strength is being direct but approachable. She is data-driven and detail-oriented, two invaluable skills when offering advice and guidance through what can be a very confusing process for students. Through her admissions experience, Nicole has learned that essays are very important. Many students look alike until you read their writing, and their personalities shine through. It’s critical to show a part of you in your essay that cannot be gleaned from other parts of your application, and Nicole excels at helping students accomplish this crucial task.
Furthermore, she understands that the relationship one has with their counselor needs to be mutually positive. She is confident in her abilities not only to help students but also to relate to them. As a parent of three children—two of whom have successfully navigated the admissions process—she honestly ‘gets’ both sides of the equation.
Outside of work, Nicole loves to take advantage of the great Southern California weather year-round, but most of all, she loves dogs! She volunteers with local and international rescues and has fostered fifteen Labs and Golden Retrievers in the past year alone.
Nina has a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Culture and Media and American Studies from Brown University. Nina’s passion for coaching stems from her experience applying to college independently. Nina attended a public school that didn't often send students to 4-year colleges, let alone private colleges, so she had to teach herself everything about the process.
This experience gave Nina a deep understanding of how difficult applying to college can be — but also, how to navigate the process. Nina is excited to share her knowledge and experience with Quad applicants!
Nina has extensive experience supporting college aspirants and was also a coach at Upward Bound, a college readiness program for low income, first-generation, and minority students. Nina’s greatest strengths as a coach include helping students boil down their life stories into a few key points and editing essays so they best highlight a student’s motivations, passions, interests, and achievements. As a professional writer and researcher, distilling and synthesizing information is second nature to Nina. She uses this strength to help applicants craft stand-out applications, where every sentence matters.
Applicants Nina has recently coached have gotten accepted at Princeton, NYU, UC Berkeley, and MIT, among other top schools.
In her spare time, Nina likes cooking (she’s recently been getting into making sushi), biking, and thrifting for vintage clothes to DIY!
Noel earned a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MEd from NC State University, an MA from UCLA, and is currently pursuing a PhD from UCLA. Noel worked for the international student office at UNC as an essay reader and liaison for newly admitted students and coached students through the admissions process at UCLA, providing feedback on prospective graduate students’ essays. Students Noel has coached have been accepted to Duke, Emory, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and UNC at Chapel Hill, among others.
Through his experience, Noel learned that admission truly is a holistic process—every part of an essay can make a difference. His experience as an essay reader helped him gain much insight into how important these items can be, especially when serving as "tie-breakers" for students with similar GPAs and test scores. Successful students, from his experience, presented themselves confidently and authentically, grounded in their own unique, specific experiences. Noel has been a writing instructor and coach at UCLA in recent years and excels at helping students develop and present themselves and their accomplishments in a memorable way they can be proud of.
Noel’s passion for coaching stems from his love of celebrating the moments when students achieve the goals they have worked so hard for! He loves to see how students grow during the process, learn new things about themselves, and be able to embrace their strengths along the way, even if the process is stressful. He believes we learn from stress as long as it is managed well; Noel hopes to be a stress mitigator and support system for students.
Noel takes an assets-based approach to student counseling, which focuses on each individual's strengths and accomplishments rather than what they haven't done. He knows it can be easy for students to compare themselves to others and lose sight during competitive processes like admissions. Noel sees his job, first and foremost, as identifying, developing, and helping students present the strengths they already have in the most effective way possible.
Noel’s greatest strength is his positive and pragmatic outlook. His approach helps students build confidence, leading to tangible results on their final application materials and setting them up for success beyond college. While positive, he understands the many complicated steps required for acceptance in the current highly competitive admissions landscape; Noel breaks down these large tasks into more manageable items for students. He delivers honest and direct feedback to push students to develop themselves and their materials in a healthy way, but one that requires work on both ends of the counseling partnership.
When he’s not coaching, Noel enjoys cooking, running, and hiking, traveling to new places, practicing language skills (French, Spanish, Italian, and a little Arabic), and watching a wide variety of movies.

Duke University - Bachelor's
Saumya graduated from Duke University, where she received the AB Duke scholarship. She has over a decade of tutoring experience, mostly focused on the ACT and SAT. Saumya taught her first math class when she was 14 years old and has been tutoring ever since. Professionally, Saumya works at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine as a clinical researcher in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department.
